The Doubleheader is back with syndicated columnist Mark Shields and New York Times columnist David Brooks. Since someone turned on the humidity in the D.C. area this past week, I figured it might be time to get their opinions on a couple of books on presidents that you might want to check out this summer.
None other than President Bill Clinton wrote a review of Robert Caro's fourth volume on LBJ: "The Passage of Power." David Maraniss also has a new book on the way about President Obama: "Barack Obama, The Story," which includes access to parts of the president's ex-girlfriend's diaries and correspondence. Vanity Fair has published excerpts. Shields and Brooks weigh in on whether it should be written about.

Unfortunately, he has been sidelined with a knee injury. We also make our picks for which horse will win the Kentucky Derby based on ... not much.
Have a great weekend.
